Our Teachers

Why choose Southwest Conservatory?

Choosing Experienced and Professionally Educated Instructors

Makes All The Difference

Instructors' Experience

Our instructors are university trained, many with graduate level degrees. Each instructor is chosen as a specialist on the instrument they teach, based on their educational background, training and experience. Teachers are encouraged to be members of professional music teachers organizations.

Carefully planned curriculum

The curriculum is designed specifically with the student in mind. When ready, many students participate in annual organized evaluations, such as the MTAC CM program or RCM Certificate program and follow the course of study for that program. Whether studying piano, guitar, voice strings or winds, lessons feature a comprehensive program of study.

Individualized Lesson Plans

Each student is placed with the teacher that is best suited for that student's needs and goals. With their teachers' guidance, students set goals each year and are provided the resources and support to achieve those goals. Student progress is reviewed annually to ensure that students are making the desired progress.
